3D Earth Studio overview Extension 3 items #

The real Earth as a live globe: NASA maps, atmosphere, day and night, markers, routes and orbits - all computed in your browser.

The globe

#

A hyperrealistic Earth built on NASA public-domain maps - Blue Marble by day, Black Marble city lights by night, real cloud cover - all matched to one projection. Drag to orbit, wheel to zoom.

Looks

#

Eight one-click moods: classic Blue Marble, a night side full of city lights, the dawn terminator, a clean tech globe with borders, a dramatic low sun, a storm-cloud front, deep space with comets, and a pure white studio.

Show document

#

Renders your current design behind the transparent globe, so you see the overlay exactly where it will land.

Sun, sky and surface Extension 6 items #

Where the light stands and what the surface shows.

Sun around / Season / Show the sun

#

Places the sun: around the equator and up or down with the seasons; the day-night terminator follows, soft the way the real one is. Switch the sun itself on and it appears as a blinding core with a huge diffuse corona - size and color are yours, and the color tints the light on the whole world.

City lights

#

NASA Black Marble city lights that glow only where it is dark - slide the sun away and watch the cities come on.

Atmosphere

#

The blue halo of air around the limb, day-blue in the light and deep indigo in the dark, with a soft rim on the surface itself. A separate Glow dial adds a wide blue shine around the whole planet, from a whisper to a full aura.

Clouds

#

Real NASA cloud cover on its own shell, lit by the same sun. Thin it out, switch it off, or leave the weather as the satellite saw it.

Relief & Ocean glint

#

Mountain ranges catch the light through a relief map derived from the day picture, and the sun leaves a glossy glint on water only.

Stars, shooting stars & comets

#

A living starfield of individually drawn points - each with its own size, tint and twinkle - never a stretched bitmap. Add shooting stars that burn across the view and a comet that rides through the picture once per loop; all of it repeats exactly, so the video loop closes.

Countries Extension 2 items #

Natural Earth borders and highlights, matched to the same projection as every map on the globe.

Borders

#

Crisp country borders from Natural Earth, in any color and strength, drawn onto the globe on demand.

Highlight

#

Pick countries from the list and they fill with your highlight color - visible by day and by night.

Markers & routes Extension 3 items #

Click the globe to plant a marker; the marker even knows which country it landed in.

Markers

#

A click on the globe plants a marker at that exact place, prefilled with the name of the country under it and editable into anything. On insert, named markers become REAL text layers beside the globe - restyle or move them like any text.

Routes (Chain / Hub)

#

Great-circle arcs between your markers: a chain from city to city, or a hub with every spoke from the FIRST marker. With two markers both shapes are the same single arc - the difference begins at three. Arc height and line width are dials.

Satellite orbits

#

Up to four inclined orbit rings with satellites riding them - and in the video loop each satellite completes exactly two orbits, so the loop stays seamless.

Export Extension 3 items #

A transparent still, one full turn as video, or the globe live on your website.

Insert

#

Freezes the globe as a transparent picture on your canvas - a re-editable generator layer that reopens with every setting as you left it.

Video loop

#

One full rotation of the globe as a WebM clip, download or Media Library. Seamless by construction: frame zero equals the last frame.

Embed (HTML)

#

A tiny snippet that runs the globe live on your website - the maps load from your own site, visitors can spin the globe by hand, reduced motion gets a still, offscreen globes sleep.
