Your image, rebuilt from many photos: the classic photomosaic, computed entirely in your browser. Pick the main image, the whole document, any layer or a media pick, then load tile photos from the media library, wedding guests, team shots, a whole folder.
Every grid cell is matched against the tiles' internal structure so the contours emerge from the photos themselves, a distance lock prevents repeats sitting next to each other, and the color match slider shifts each placed photo's own pixels toward the target tone, never an overlay, so every photo stays fully recognizable. The column count scales from a chunky look to poster detail.
Open it from the Extensions menu. Insert as an editable layer and reopen via Edit Photo Mosaic. Made for wedding posters from guest photos, team mosaics and yearbook covers.
Main image
#What the mosaic depicts: the whole document (default), any single layer picked by name, or an image from the media library.
Tiles
#The photos the mosaic is built FROM: pick any number from the media library (multi-select, merged and de-duplicated). Eight is the minimum, hundreds are welcome - wedding guests, team shots, a whole folder. A strip previews the loaded set.
How the picture emerges
#The textbook pipeline: every grid cell is compared against each tile's INTERNAL 4x4 structure, so contours emerge from the photos themselves - a tile with a dark left half lands exactly where an edge runs. A distance lock keeps the same photo from repeating next to itself.
Color match
#Shifts each placed photo's own pixels toward the target tone - a per-channel offset that keeps every photo fully recognizable (never an overlay). 0% shows pure tile matching; higher values pull the mosaic closer to the original's colors. With few tiles, raise it; with hundreds, lower it.
Columns
#Grid resolution from 24 to 72 columns. More columns read better from a distance - poster prints want the high end.
Insert mosaic
#Bakes the mosaic at full resolution and inserts it as an editable image layer. Right-click for Edit Photo Mosaic to reopen with the same tiles and settings.
